Amongophobia is the irrational fear of seeing an Among Us character in objects or pictures. This phobia is very familiar to Pareidolia which is a psychological phenomenon that causes people to see patterns in random things.
It can be caused by Among Us memes like the trash bin meme which was a meme where there was a trash bin that looks like an Among Us character because of the red bin and the white flap-cover. The symptoms for amongophobia are seeing among us characters on everyday objects like trash cans, clothing logos, fire alarms, children’s cartoons, and sometimes even your own thumb.
To be honest, an oval inside of a circle is automatically an amogus now. Or just a sideways oval in almost any shape. Even a sideways rectangle would work.
Possible Cures[]
Amongophobia is in fact possible to be treated by isolating yourself from the internet for a long period of time, especially staying away from Among Us related references and memes. Amongophobia is extremely contagious through meme culture and social media apps like Discord, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, and many more.
