Autistic Screeching is a series of exploitable comics. It depicts a crude illustration of an angry person with the caption *Autistic Screeching* above their head while crouching near two people shaking hands with each other in mutual agreement on a particular subject. This meme is often used to mock the angry reactions from various political and religious ideologies to opinions or beliefs that differ from their own.

Criticism

This meme has been criticized both for lack of creativity and making fun of autistic people. Autistic people have said they find the meme insulting.

Neurotypical screeching

Some autistic people have responded to this meme with a "neurotypical screeching" meme. In this meme, an ableist neurotypical (NT) person screeches when autistic people be themselves or advocate for their own wellbeing. It is occasionally used to describe non-autistic people getting worked up over unimportant things.
