Dutch "Tahiti" is a 2018 image macro meme, in which it shows Dutch expressing smile to anything mentioning Tahiti. Due to Dutch frequently mentioning the island itself, the meme became popular and eventually spread in YouTube and TikTok.
History[]
The first scene where Dutch mentions the Tahiti was on one of the Saint Denis missions in 2018 video game Red Dead Redemption 2, where he tells to Arthur that his gang has to flee from the US and go to a remote area, with Tahiti mentioning as one of the examples. After the mission, Dutch is constantly mentioning that he is moving to Tahiti, which later became the basis of its meme, similar to Roman Bellic constantly mentioning bowling to his cousin Niko Bellic from Grand Theft Auto IV.
The first instance of this meme was uploaded by Redditor Sebii8536 on November 12, 2018, which depicts an image of the character Dutch Van der Linde from 2018 video game Red Dead Redemption 2 smiling, with text below reading "Tahiti", which makes fun of a phrase constantly used in Red Dead Redemption 2, where Dutch wants him and his gang to go to Tahiti, the largest island in French Polynesia, in the South Pacific archipelago. The post was popular and received more than 2,800 upvotes and 101 comments.[1] However, this is a problem, as the Pinkertons are hunting down the gang due to the failed Blackwater heist. Other rival outlaw gangs are a problem too, mostly the O'Driscoll Boys, lead by none other than Colm O'Driscoll, an American outlaw of Irish descent. Another problem is that they need more money. Going to Guarma wasn't enough for Dutch. He needed to conquer the 9 Tahiti Realms and acquire the Tahiti Stones.

The first video to feature this meme on YouTube was a rap music version uploaded on December 15, 2018 by Aron Prod., but the music video only gained more than 31,000 views, 113 comments, and 858 likes.[2] Later on January 23, 2019, a music video version was uploaded by Sonny Evans. The music video gained more than 150,000 views, more than 5,600 likes, and 516 comments.[3]
