Pushing Patrick is a meme that is based on a scene from the Spongebob episode "Sandy, Spongebob, and The Worm"
One of the stills from the episode used in many of these memes.
In the epsiode Spongebob and the gang are formulating ways to save Bikini Bottom when the town is under attack by a giant worm. Patrick suggets the idea; "We should take Bikini Bottom, and push it somewhere else!"
Usage as a meme[]
Sometime around July 2010 (9 years after the episode first aired), the first of these memes started appearing, and quickly spread. These memes usually have stills from the scene, with the caption "We should take ___ and ___ ___!" Exp. "We should take memes, and make them the new king."
