7 years later, on December 30, 2025, controversial TikToker SmallArmRants posted a video supporting the ill-fated Great Meme Reset, where he made the infamous gif/image as the "last meme of 2025."[3]

SmallArmRants as garnered significant controversy for his involvement in the "great meme reset," which many TikTokers have deemed as corny and won't happen. Roblox rants in general have gotten hate, due to their "brainrot" nature.
On December 11, 2025, TikToker kateiscray, claiming to be his mother, posted a video where she exposes him for his hypocrisy, calling most kids "brainrot" while he himself is allegedly a brainrot "kid". She also claims he's been using her money to pay for ChatGPT+, possibly exposing an AI-generated script.[4]
