Look at This Dude (also titled under the name Flipagram Roast Videos, due to the iPhone application used to create the slideshows), is a video remix series in featuring a voice-over narration of a man saying "look at this dude" before laughing hysterically while a slideshow of pictures showing similar-looking people and characters is displayed.

Origin Edit

In August 2015, Twitter user @Xx__Eric_xX uploaded a video featuring a photograph of a man followed by several images of frogs and fictional characters while a man mocks his appearance in the background. The video was subsequently removed, but was mirrored on YouTube several days later (shown below).

Spread Edit

On August 10th, 2015, Redditor merkwek posted the video to the /r/ContagiousLaughter subreddit. On December 2nd, YouTuber Wesley Gibson posted a video titled Bruh look at this dude," featuring images of a Twitch streamer with the original "Look at This Dude" audio playing in the background.

On February 14th, 2016, YouTuber ayy lmao submitted a video featuring various unflattering photographs of Donald Trump with the "Look at This Dude" audio (shown below). On February 19th, the Lime Memes Facebook[2] page posted a transcript of the original "Look at This Dude" video.

On March 15th, Twitter user @Xx__Eric_xX, the original creator of the series, posted a slideshow mocking several photographs of different people to Twitter, where it garnered upwards of 4,800 likes and 4,100 retweets before the account was deleted.

On March 20th, YouTuber Amorosa posted a video in which YouTuber LeafyIsHere is compared to JoJo McDodd, an animated character from the movie, Horton Hears a Who, using the "Look at This Dude" audio in the background (shown below). The video gained 55,000 views, and 1.5k likes.
